Bubble Shooter tips: aiming, wall shots, and falling bubbles

In PCder Bubble Shooter, connect your shot to at least two touching bubbles of the same color to clear a group. A side-wall bounce can reach a group from another angle. Clear a supporting group to drop bubbles below it, and watch the miss counter: five shots without a match add a new row.

Aim for an exposed pair of matching bubbles

Look at the loaded bubble at the launcher, then find two or more touching bubbles of that color. Your shot must join the connected group. Two matching bubbles separated by another color do not form a pair you can clear together.

Choose an exposed edge of the group. The shot attaches after touching the ceiling or another bubble, then snaps to a nearby empty grid position. A bubble in front of your target can intercept the shot. Check the whole path before firing.

The small NEXT bubble shows the following color. Use it to plan a second shot, especially when the current color has no immediate match. The game chooses new shots from colors still present on the board.

How to bounce a shot off a side wall

Aim toward the left or right side wall to send the bubble back across the board. At the wall, the horizontal direction reverses while the upward motion continues. Picture the target reflected beyond the wall, then aim toward that reflected position.

Check the path both before and after the bounce. The bubble must have room to reach the wall and then travel to the exposed side of the target group. A shallow shot spends more time crossing the board and can run into a lower bubble first.

On a computer, move the pointer to adjust the direction, then click to shoot. For smaller adjustments, use the left and right arrow keys and Space. On a phone, tap the board to aim and fire, or use Aim left, Aim right, and Shoot for separate adjustments.

Clear a support group to drop bubbles below it

After a match clears, every remaining bubble needs a connected path to the top row. That connection can pass through any color. Bubbles with no path to the top row fall away, even when their colors do not match your shot.

Look for a small group holding a larger cluster below it. Removing that support can clear more space than a larger match elsewhere. Check for a second connection to the top: if another bubble still joins the lower cluster to the ceiling, it will stay in place.

What happens after five misses?

A shot that places a bubble without clearing a group adds one miss. When the counter reaches five, the game adds a new top row, shifts the existing bubbles down, and resets the counter. A successful match also resets it to zero.

Use the counter when deciding whether to set up a later match. At zero misses, you have more room to place a useful bubble. At four, a shot that does not clear a group will add a row immediately. Look for a reachable match before building another pair.

The run ends if bubbles reach the line near the launcher. Clearing low bubbles can buy space, while removing a support group may open a route to higher targets. There is no countdown timer, so take time to inspect the board.

Clearing a board and starting again

Clearing every bubble adds a 250-point bonus and starts the next level. Later levels can begin with more rows and more colors. Keep checking the NEXT bubble as the available colors change.

New game resets the current score and returns to Level 1. Your best score stays in the same browser when storage is available. The game does not save a board for later, so closing or reloading the page starts a fresh run.

Common questions

How many bubbles make a match?

At least three touching bubbles of one color, including the shot you just placed. Aim at an exposed pair of that color so your bubble joins their group.

Why did a different color fall after my match?

The match removed its connection to the top row. Any bubble without a connected path to the top row drops, regardless of color.

Does a successful match reset the miss counter?

Yes. A successful match resets misses to zero. Five consecutive shots that do not clear a group add a new row and also reset the counter.

Can I swap the current and next bubbles?

The PCder version has no swap control. NEXT is a preview of the following shot. Use the current bubble to clear a group or prepare a later match.
